Making Data Dynamic with Apexus

Our Work

March 26, 2019

RealDecoy’s client received a (literal) standing ovation at a presentation of our dynamic data visualization tool. How we bring simplicity to even the most complex databases, and collaboration to each partnership.

Apexus is an American health care solutions provider with a particularly big job: it’s the US Government’s HRSA-designated prime vendor for the 340B Drug Pricing Program.

In the United States, affordable healthcare is one of the most urgent issues facing the nation. Apexus is tasked with supporting a program that helps qualifying health providers access certain outpatient medications at affordable prices.

It’s a massive, important task. And it has the data to match.

The Project

Some state regulatory information was still collected and collated manually, which was functional, but the company wanted a digital approach that would be faster and more efficient, especially given the amount of data that had to be processed.

Having built a strong relationship with us through years of work on their website, Apexus approached RealDecoy for help constructing a dynamic, visual platform for a complex database.

The objective of the project was two-fold: to make the information available online to members, and make it painless to use.

Minutes to Curtain

The engagement started with a fixed (and high-profile) deadline: the largest industry conference of the year so they could showcase their solution to the audience.

The project didn’t entail straightforward development work: it meant a coordinated effort to streamline creative work, considering multiple designs and iterations, development and testing and review before the conference, all the while maintaining communication with the team at Apexus.

Throughout the joint discussions, the design went from a hover-and-click map of the United States to a clean interactive table layout. RealDecoy journeyed with Apexus and figured out what was best for both them as a company and their stakeholders, and then programmed it into reality.

This dedication was evident at the conference. When the team presented the final page, the audience responded with a standing ovation.

Today, RealDecoy continues its longstanding relationship with Apexus, managing multiple websites and maintaining functionality. The strength of our client relationship lies not only in the quality of the services we provide, but our flexibility, ability to understand and meet our clients’ needs and our commitment to collaboration.
