    Nature.ca is live!

RealDecoy is in the midst of redeveloping the Canadian Museum of Nature's website and recently launched the first iteration of the new and improved Nature.ca.

A renovated website, for a renovated building
The Canadian Museum of Nature makes its public home in the iconic Victoria Memorial Museum Building in downtown Ottawa. For years now, the building has been under renovations, giving the Canadian Museum of Nature a new home, without sacrificing its past. The museum has been opening new exhibits as the renovations have progressed and the grand opening is scheduled for May 2010.

    Open Source Content Management
The new website was developed using the open source Drupal Content Management System and the first phase is currently available online. More content is being developed and will be updated leading up to the opening of the fully renovated museum at the end of May.

    Why RealDecoy?
After a call for proposals, the Canadian Museum of Nature selected RealDecoy from the submissions because of our expertise and experience in developing successful Web sites. Recent projects for other cultural institutions and our considerable experience in implementing the Drupal Content Management Systems were key considerations.

    Extensive museum experience
RealDecoy has extensive experience working with Museums and heritage institutions and a strong understanding the issues that affect museums. We were responsible for redeveloping the websites for numerous museums including the Virtual Museum of Canada and the Royal Tyrrell Museum. Read more about our heritage and cultural experience.
