Accessibility and Web Standards

Accessibility assured

A truly accessible website excludes no user—regardless of platform, device type or the person’s physical limitations. At RealDecoy, we’ve made it a fundamental part of our practice to keep abreast of national and international accessibility standards, and to apply the most rigorous accessibility testing possible. In fact, we developed our own innovative assessment tools to identify issues often overlooked by off-the-shelf programs.

A public responsibility

Public-facing organizations are required to meet the needs of a broad community of web users. For provincial and federal organizations, it’s a legislated requirement. Our expertise has made us a valued consultant to federal agencies, helping them comply with the standards of the World Wide Web Consortium’s Web Accessibility Initiative (WAI) and Canada’s Common Look and Feel (CLF). We also design and develop web content that complies with U.S. government accessibility standards as set out in Section 508 of the U.S. Rehabilitation Act.

Our capabilities

We have the knowledge and hands-on experience to carry out website audits and remediation projects to ensure your site’s conformance with any of the following standards:

  • Ontario Disabilities Act
  • Government of Jamaica web standards
  • U.S. Government Section 508
