User Experience Designer

RealDecoy is a web development company: we architect, plan and build web sites; we design and implement or integrate any application that a client may want to run on their web site; we take on a wide range of web projects. Our clients range from small agencies to large multinational corporations. We excel at what we do, we work to the very highest standards and all of our staff take great pride in their work.

We are 10 years old, have evolved organically and currently have 70 staff. We have experienced considerable success and are growing. Currently we have a need for intermediate level User Experience Design professionals.

Your challenge

We are currently looking to expand our User Experience team with qualified User Experience Design professionals who are familiar with the User Centered Design process.

• Experience with MS Visio and Axure a bonus.
• Must be able to travel to the United States.

Your general responsibilities

• Team-up with business and technical staff to understand and define project requirements.
• Participate in the discovery process including facilitating Discovery Sessions, Usability Testing, and UX Research and Modeling.
• Work in close collaboration with both clients and internal teams to develop user experience strategies.
• Develop innovative user interfaces that resolve project requirements in as elegant and simple a manner as possible.
• Support team members to think about project goals and how the final project will support those goals.
• Be an advocate of the user-centered design process and contribute to the overall user experience of RealDecoy projects.
• Strive to make complex information clear.

As the ideal candidate you will probably have:

• Have an excellent understanding of the User Centered Design Process.
• Have experience with information architecture and interaction design for large corporate eCommerce clients. Experience with Facetted Navigation and Endeca's Guidede Navigation is a bonus.
• Build positive working relationships with those around you through your energy, enthusiasm and passion for people.
• Be highly articulate both in your written and spoken communication; you will be able to express yourself eloquently and succinctly.
• Be able to respond to very tight deadlines, and yet be able to keep busy and productive when the pressure is off.
• Understand how to prioritize and have the initiative to respond to urgent tasks with little or no direction.
• Have knowledge of business principles and preferably the corporate retail and software/high tech world.
• Have demonstrated ability for leadership, inspiring others to achieve, and coaching – this could be from sport or other volunteer activity as well as previous employment.
