RealDecoy (Canada) Inc is a growing international web development company. Our capabilities are twofold: we architect, plan and build a wide range of web sites and web-related projects, and we integrate applications into clients' existing infrastructure. Our clients range from small agencies to large multinational corporations. We excel at what we do, we work to the very highest standards and all of our staff takes great pride in their work.

We are 10 years old and have had considerable success. As a result of our continuing growth, we are expanding our Kingston, Jamaica office and are looking for people to join our technical staff.

Your Challenge:

RealDecoy is seeking to add new client-facing software engineers to its Jamaica team. These developer and architect roles will be fast paced from the moment you start; you will be learning new technologies, new ways of working and you will be collaborating with a variety of clients to ensure that we provide the best possible service to them. Typically, you will be required to:

• Design and implement B2B and B2C web based applications for North American customers.
• Participate in the full life-cycle of professional services projects: client facing requirement workshops, application design and integration strategy, development, and deployment support.
• Provide technical leadership and expertise.
• Architects will have additional design and people leadership responsibilities.

Travel may be a possibility for this position: therefore the ability to obtain a travel visa is preferred.

As the Ideal Candidate, you will probably have:

• A diverse technical background: you must be fully capable in Java web programming (servlets, JSP, JSTL) or .NET, depending on project requirements.
• A keenness to learn new platforms and programming languages.
• Experience with building data-driven web applications.
• Experience with data modeling, batch processing, ETL, and data verification.
• Working knowledge of XML and associated technologies (XPath, XSLT, or other).
• Working knowledge of RDBMS systems (SQL Server, Oracle, Mysql, or other).
• University degree in a related field or equivalent experience.

It would be great if you also had:

• Knowledge of Java frameworks: Springs, Struts, Hibernate, etc
• Any .NET frameworks or related background knowledge: Entity, Linq
• IT Experience with network design, server capacity planning, or load balancer infrastructure. * *
• Experience troubleshooting application performance problems & optimizing web systems. * *
• Experience with Windows and UNIX
• Experience with the Corda or Dundas charting APIs
